Today in Sports History: May 23

Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors scored 35 points and make five assists during a 2016 Eastern Conference Finals game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. This victory tied the Raptors and Cavaliers at 2-2. Lowry went on to score another 35 points during Game 6 of the Conference Finals but the Cavaliers won the next two games and eliminated the Raptors from the Finals. Lowry was named to the All-NBA third team and is one of only three Raptors to receive the distinction.
