In 2018, Philip Rivers, L.A. Chargers quarterback, set an NFL single-game record by completing 25 straight passes during a game against the Arizona Cardinals. Rivers first entered the NFL in 2004 when he signed with the San Diego Chargers, as the team’s third quarterback option. He was promoted to quarterback the following season and played in the Pro Bowl eight times between 2006 and 2018. Rivers was named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2013 and has started every regular season game since September 11, 2006. He has a 96.0 passer rating, the eighth highest among NFL quarterbacks with 1,500 passing attempts.
