A.C Green played his 1,041st consecutive game in 1999 tying him for the longest consecutive professional game streak. Green’s streak tied him with Ron Boone who payed for the ABA and NBA. Green previously broke the NBA’s record in 1997 by playing 907 straight games. Green, nicknamed iron Man, played a total of 1,192 consecutive games. He played defense for the Los Angeles Lakers, won two championships with the team (1987 and 1988) and was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1988–89. He later played for the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks before returning to the Lakers from 1999-2000. Green finished his career with the Miami Heat; having missed only three games during his entire NBA career.
