On this day in 2008, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Seattle Supersonics 168-113. The 55 point blowout win also marked the most points scored by an NBA team in almost 20 years. Eight Nuggets scored in double figures. Allen Iverson (24pt), Carmelo Anthony (26pt), and Kenyon Martin (23pt) all scored 20 plus points. The 2007-08 Nuggets made the playoffs as the 8th seed with a 50-32 record. Unfortunately, the Nuggets were swept by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs. Allen Iverson led the Nuggets, averaging a team-high 24.5 points in the series. Recently, the Denver Nuggets had one of their best seasons in franchise history. The 2019-20 Nuggets put up the second-best record, 54-28, in franchise history. The Nuggets made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals where they were beaten 4-1 by the Los Angeles Lakers.
