Today in Sports History: July 9

In 2006, Andrea Bargnani began the first player to foul out of the NBA Summer League when he picked up 10 fouls against the Sacramento Kings. Bargnani was the first overall pick by the Toronto Raptors and the first European player to be drafted first. He’s known for his mobility, ball-handling and ability to shoot from the perimeter.
