LeBron James, who is consistency ranked one of the greatest NBA players in league history, shocked the world with “The Decision” in 2010. During his period of free agency, James announced on live television that he would leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and join the Miami Heat. The Decision sparked controversy and fans reacted to the point that Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert wrote an open letter to fans. He denounced James’ decision and vowed that the Cavaliers would win a championship before the Heat.

James is a three-time NBA championship, four-time MVP winner, three-time Finals MVP winner, and two-time Olympic gold medalist. He holds the all-time record for playoffs points and selections to the All-NBA First Team (12 times). In 2014, he returned to the Cavaliers for four seasons. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.
