On January 8, 2013, Steve Nash became the fifth player in NBA history to record 10,000 assists in his career with a 10-assist showing against the Houston Rockets. Despite doing most of the damage in his career for the Phoenix Suns, Nash passed this milestone during the late stages of his career when he was on the Lakers. Nash would go on to surpass fellow passing legends Magic Johnson and Mark Jackson (the latter by one assist) by the end of his career, to finish as the number three assist leader in NBA history. Nash was one of the greatest point guards and shooters of all time, leading the NBA in assists five times in his career, winning MVP twice, and becoming a member of the exclusive 50-40-90 club an unprecedented four times.
