On January 5, 1984, Adrian Dantley of the Utah Jazz tied legend Wilt Chamberlain’s record for most free throws made in a game with 28. Dantley helped the Jazz to a 116-111 victory over the Houston Rockets with his performance, scoring 46 points on 28/29 free throws and 9/15 from the field, to go along with nine rebounds and five assists. Dantley is a basketball Hall of Famer, having been selected to six NBA All-Star games, winning a rookie of the year award, and leading the NBA in scoring two times. Dantley averaged 24.3 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game over his career.
