Dave Stewart, of the Oakland Athletics broke the current MLB record with his 12th balk en route to 16. Stewart began his MLB career as the 16th-round selection by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1975 MLB draft. Stewart is known for his intimidating pitching style and postseason performances – which earned him a World Series MVP and two League Championship Series MVP awards. He ended his MLB career with a 168-129 win-loss record and three World Series under his belt. After retiring from the MLB in 1995, Stewart became a pitching coach for the San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, and Blue Jays and served as general manger for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2014-16.
