On this day in 1995, Mike Tyson returned to the ring. After a four-year hiatus, Tyson showed he was still a force to be reckoned with by defeating Peter McNeeley in 89 seconds in the fight billed “He’s back.” Tyson was back and he would continue to dominate. Following the McNeeley fight, Tyson went on to win his next three bouts. On March 16th, 1996 Tyson regained the WBC Heavyweight Title by knocking out Frank Bruno in the third round. On September 7th, 1996 Tyson regained the WBA Heavyweight Title by knocking out Bruce Seldon in the first round. However, Tyson would go on to lose both of the titles to Evander Holyfield. Regardless, Tyson is a boxing legend with a record of 50 wins and six losses.
