In 1982, 75-year-old Luke Appling hit a home run during the Cracker Jack Old Timers game. The game was held at RFK football Stadium in Washington , D.C. where the left-field fence was shorter than in MLB stadiums. He was made seven All-Star teams and 2,749 career hits.
