In 2016, free-agent Kevin Durant signed with the Golden State Warriors. After announcing his move via The Players’ Tribune three days prior, he signed a two-year contract with the Golden State Warriors. Golden State won back-to-back championships in the next two years. Durant earned All-NBA honors eight times and is considered one of the greatest players of all-time.

Durant was selected by the Seattle SuperSonics as the number two pick in the 2007 NBA Draft after he played a season with the University of Texas. He won Rookie of the Year his first season and became one of only three players to have averaged at least 20 points per game as a teenager. Durant stuck with the team when they moved to Oklahoma and become the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2008. He won four scoring titles, between 2010 and 2014, and is one of only two players to win four scoring titles in a five-year span. In 2019 Durant signed with the Brooklyn Nets.
