In 2016, Klay Thompson set a playoff record by scoring 11 3-pointers during Game 6 of the Western Conference finals. Thompson’s efforts helped the Golden State Warriors defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-101and propelled the Warriors to Game 7. The team lost Game 7 to the Thunder but ended the season with an NBA-best 73-9 record. They were the first team in NBA history to finish with the same number of regular-season and postseason losses at nine. They also became the first team in NBA history with 69 or more regular-season wins that didn’t win the NBA Championship.
