Today in Sports History: March 20

By Jonah Sharf

On March 20, 1968, Wilt Chamberlain became the first and only center in NBA history to lead the NBA in assists, with 8.6 per game, a career high for him. During that season, he also averaged 24.3 points per game and 23.8 rebounds per game, bringing home the NBA MVP. This was the fourth MVP award and third in a row for perhaps the most dominant center and scorer in NBA history.
