On March 5, 1983, Warriors center Joe Barry Carroll led the team to a 127-121 victory over the Utah Jazz with a career high 52 points to go along with 14 rebounds and five blocks. Carroll averaged a career high 24.1 points, 1.4 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game that season, as well as an impressive 8.7 rebounds per game. Despite the 82-83 season being one of his best seasons of his career, he was only selected to one All-Star Game, in 1987. Carroll was a solid contributor throughout his career, averaging 17.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game.
