Murphy was named to the NBA All-Rookie team in his first year, and made one All-Star Game, averaging 18 points per game over his career. Murphy’s #23 was retired by the Houston Rockets, and he is known for being the shortest player ever inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, at 5’9”.
