On February 12, 2000, Vince Carter of the Toronto Raptors won the Slam Dunk Contest with one of the greatest dunk contest performances of all time, earning him nicknames like “Vinsanity” and “Air Canada.” Carter earned three perfect 50 scores during the contest, beating out second and third place finishers Steve Francis and his then-teammate Tracy McGrady. Carter is considered one of the greatest dunkers of all-time, both in-contest and in-game, and the 2000 dunk contest showed why.
