On January 29, 2000, Karl Malone became the third player in NBA history to record 30,000 points, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Wilt Chamberlain. Malone would finish his career as one of the greatest scorers of all-time, finishing behind just Kareem as number two on the all-time scoring list. Four more players joined the three players in the exclusive 30,000-point club—those legends are Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki, and LeBron James.
