On January 22, 2006, Kobe Bryant scored 81 points in a game against the Toronto Raptors, giving the Los Angeles Lakers a 122-104 victory at Staples Center. The 81 points stand to this day as the second most points scored in one game in NBA history, after Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 point game in 1962. Bryant shot 28-46 from the field, a remarkable 60.9 field goal percentage, along with 53.8 from three point range on 7-13 shooting. He also made it to the free throw line 20 times, converting on 18 of those attempts. Kobe grabbed six rebounds on the night, adding three steals to round out the stat line. The only other Lakers on the night with double figures were Smush Parker and Chris Mihm, while they only managed five bench points.
