By Jonah Sharf

On December 7, 1985, Auburn’s Bo Jackson beat out Iowa’s Chuck Long for the Heisman Trophy by just 45 votes. The margin was the slimmest at the time, and is still the second slimmest Heisman victory in the award’s history. On the season, Jackson recorded 1,786 rushing yards on an impressive 6.4 yards per carry. Despite his impressive college football career, Jackson is best known for his feat of playing as both a professional baseball and football player.
