On November 30, 1986, Ivan Lendl became the first ever tennis player to earn $10 million over his career. Lendl is widely considered one of the 10 best men’s tennis players of all time, and one of the most dominant players of the 1980s, holding the No. 1 ranking in the world for 270 weeks in the 80s. He won 94 singles titles, eight majors, and was a runner-up a record 11 times. He has also gained success as a coach, helping Andy Murray win three major titles.
