During a 1994 Indiana Pacers versus New York Knicks game, Reggie Miller proved to be a clutch player. The Knicks had a 70-58 lead over the Pacers. Miller put out an epic performance in the final period; scoring 25 points of his 39 attempts and setting record for five three-pointers in a single quarter. The game ended in a 98-86 Pacers’ victory.
Miller was selected by the Indiana Pacers in the 1987 draft and spent all 18 years of his NBA career as a shooting guard with the team. At the time of his retirement, in 2005, he held the record for 3-point field goals at 2,560. The record was later broken by Ray Allen in 2011. Miller is one of only eight NBA players who reached the 50–40–90 club which consists of players who shot 50% or better from the field, 40% or better from three-point range, and 90% or better from the free-throw line in a single season. The Pacers retired Miller’s no. 31 jersey in 2006 and he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.
