In 2016, Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard shot 16-28 from the field and scored 50 points in a 117-115 loss to the Toronto Raptors. The 8th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, Lillard is one of the top point guards in the NBA today. Lillard is averaging 29.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and a career best 8.1 assists this season. Fans gave him the nickname “Logo Lillard,” for his ability to convert deep threes. The NBA three point line extends 23 ft, nine inches. In the 2020-21 NBA season, Lillard has so far made 20-58 (34.5%) threes from 25-29 ft and 2-4 threes from 35-39 ft. During his nine seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, Lillard has led the team to the playoffs seven times. In the 2019 playoffs, Lillard helped the Blazers advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2000. Lillard’s accolades include NBA Rookie of the Year, 5x All-NBA Team selections, and 6x NBA All-Star.
