In 1982, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Seattle Supersonics 127-122 in the fourth overtime. Hawks shooting guard Eddie Johnson played a game-high 61 minutes and led the team with 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. The win over Seattle marked the fourth-longest game in NBA history at the time. To date there have been 14 fourth overtime games in NBA history, and the Hawks have played in four of them. In 2017, the Hawks defeated the Knicks 149-142 in their most recent 4 OT win. Hawks center Paul Millsap played 60 minutes and poured in 37 points, 19 rebounds, and 7 assists. In 2019, the Hawks lost to the Chicago Bulls 168-161 in fourth overtime. The game was a thriller and the combined points was the third most in NBA history (329).
