In preparation for the 1995-96 season, the Toronto Raptors and Vancouver Grizzlies participated in the league’s second Expansion draft. The Raptors selected B.J Armstrong and 13 other players while the Grizzlies chose 13 players including Greg Anthony. These two Canadian teams were the first franchises north of the U.S. since the 1946-47 Toronto Huskies team.
