In 1983, the Philadelphia 76ers sweep the Los Angeles Lakers 115-108 and win their first championship since 1967. 76ers forward Mosses Malone recorded 24 points and 23 rebounds — his third game of the series with at least 18 points and 18 boards. Earlier Malone had predicted that the team would go “fo-fo-fo,” and would sweep all three rounds of the postseason. The 76ers went 12-1, or fo-fi-fo, and Malone was awarded the Finals MVP trophy. It would be 25 years before the 76ers won another championship.
