Michael Jordan won his fifth MVP award in 1998, tying him for the second-most league MVP awards with Bill Russell. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has a record six MVP awards. Wilt Chamberlain and LeBron James are both have four MVP awards. Although an MVP award is not a guaranteed fast-track to the Hall of Fame, all eligible players who have won MVP awards have been inducted.
