Mr. Clutch, Jerry West, pushed Game 3 of the 1970 NBA Finals into overtime when he hit a 60-foot desperation shot at the buzzer. He scored two points (the three-point line had not yet been instated) and tied the game at 102. Despite this buzzer-beating performance, West missed all five of his shot attempts in overtime and the Los Angeles Lakers lost 11-108 to the New York Knicks. His silhouette was later immortalized in the NBA logo.
