On May 20, 1995, Mario Elie put the Rockets up 115-114 with 7.1 seconds left to win Game 7 against the Suns and send them to the Western Conference Finals. With the win, the Rockets became the first NBA team in 13 years to overcome a 3-1 deficit to win a best-of-7 playoff series. Houston’s win also broke a string of 20 consecutive wins by the home team in Game 7 of a playoff series. The Rockets would go on to beat the Spurs in the Conference Finals and sweep the Orlando Magic for their second consecutive NBA Championship.
