On May 2nd, 2015, the “Fight of the Century” between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao took place. Going into the fight with a very defensive strategy, Mayweather made it difficult for Pacquiao to land his punches. The fight would go a full twelve rounds, with Floyd winning via unanimous decision. To this day, the fight is still the highest grossing Pay-Per-View event, beating 2017’s Mayweather vs. McGregor by about 300,000 sales. The total purse of the fight came out around 300 million dollars, with 180 going to Floyd and the other 120 going to Pacquiao. The fight would be Mayweather’s 48th win, on his way to an undefeated 50-0 career.
