On April 17, 1976, Mike Schmidt of the Philadelphia Phillies hit four consecutive home runs in a game against the Chicago Cubs, leading the Phillies to an 18-16 win. Schmidt became the fourth player in MLB history to hit four home runs in a row. This incredible game was part of his torrid start to the season with 12 homers in the first 15 games of the season. Schmidt would go 5-for-6 in the game with 8 RBI. Schmidt ended his Hall of Fame career with 12 All-Star selections, three NL MVP awards, a World Series, and a World Series MVP.
