On March 13, 1999, A.C. Green, then of the Dallas Mavericks, played in his 1,000th consecutive game — he would finish his streak with 1,192 straight games played, outplaying the second place Randy Smith who finished at just 906. Out of the 1,281 games he could have played throughout his career, he played an incredible 1,278, missing three in his second season.
