On March 7, 2017, Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks became just the sixth player in NBA history to join the career 30,000 point club. He has now been joined by LeBron James to bring the total to seven players. Nowitzki is considered one of the greatest power forwards of all time, and perhaps the greatest European player in NBA history. He has an NBA MVP award, helped lead Dallas to an NBA Championship and won NBA Finals MVP, is a 14-time NBA All-Star, 4-time All-NBA First Team selection, 5-time All-NBA Second Team selection, and 3-time All-NBA Third Team. Nowitzki also broke Kobe Bryant’s record of most seasons played with the same team, as he is currently in his 21st with the Mavericks.
