On November 16, 1957, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat the Oklahoma Sooners 7-0. While a 7-0 game seems like nothing out of the ordinary, it was much more—with the win, Notre Dame snapped Oklahoma’s 47-game winning streak. To this day, 47 games remains the longest win streak in NCAA Division I Football history. The Sooners’ streak lasted from 1953 to 1957 until finally being stopped by the Fighting Irish
