On October 19, 2004, Curt Schilling pitched seven innings, allowing just one run during the victory in the Red Sox Game 6 victory over the Yankees in the ALCS. The victory forced a Game 7, which the Red Sox would win to advance to the World Series. While it was an impressive performance, it is known best as β€œThe Bloody Sock Game,” as due to an injury to his ankle he bled through his sock, showing how tough he really was.
